West Ham’s 2016-17 away kit is inspired by the kits worn by The Hammers in the 1980 FA Cup final victory, and their best ever top flight season back in 1986 which saw a predominately white jersey feature sky blue and claret around the collar.

In addition the new West Ham away shirt features the new club crest that was first revealed back in 2014 with claret coloured lettering underneath that reads ‘Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park 2016-2017’.

In the neckline are the coordinates of West Ham’s new stadium ‘51.5386° N, 0.0165° W’ as well as a Union Jack which is a nod to West Ham’s Thames Ironworks origins as well as their pride at playing at the Olympic Stadium which hosted the London 2012 Olympic Games. Union Jacks also appear on the side of the cuffs.

Claret Umbro lettering appears on the sides of the sleeves whilst the Double Diamond logo is placed on the right breast. Betway continue to sponsor the Hammers and have their name in the middle of the football shirt coloured black.

Blue shorts with white socks complete the West Ham United 2016-17 away kit made by Umbro.
