Football kit news from the Sky Bet Championship as a limited edition Umbro 2019-20 Brentford Commemorative third kit has been revealed this evening.

As the Bees continue their season long Farewell Griffin Park celebrations the club have revealed a limited edition shirt inspired by Brentford FC’s first ever victory at Griffin Park, a 2-0 victory over Millwall Athletic on 22nd October 1904.

The 2019-20 Brentford third shirt has a blue base colour with tonal blue stripes.
Both the Umbro logo on the right breast and the Brentford FC crest on the left breast are coloured gold.
EcoWorld London the club’s official shirt sponsor have agreed to have their logo removed from the replica versions of the jersey although a gold EcoWorld logo will appear on the players shirts when they face Millwall on 19th October.
On the back of the neck is gold ‘Farewell Griffin Park’ lettering.
White shorts with navy socks complete the 1904 inspired Brentford FC kit 2019-20.

The first 400 orders will receive their limited edition shirt in a special presentation box.

This is not an authentic take on the target early 1900’s shirt, which should be blue with thin gold vertical stripes; what’s the point of this overpriced version, as it is , essentially, Millwall’s shirt. To top it all, it is being worn at home, in the next match v Millwall, perverse!
