Special VfL Wolfsburg ‘Peace’ Jersey 2021-22

Kit news from Germany as VfL Wolfsburg will wear a special version of their 2021-22 home shirt featuring the peace symbol on the front for this weekends fixtures.

The German side have chosen to show their solidarity with Ukraine following the invasion by Russia and display the peace symbol on the front of their 2021-22 home jerseys for this weekend’s fixtures instead of the Volkswagen logo.

As well as the peace symbol on the front of the Wolfsburg jerseys, it will also feature on the advertising led boards, scoreboards and corner flags.

VfL Wolfsburg Managing Director Jörg Schmadtke said, “We are well aware that we can only make a very small contribution, but nevertheless we want to provide all the support that we can,”

“We see it as our social responsibility and hope that as many people as possible – regardless of whether they are football fans or not – will help us to collect donations.”
