Football kit news from Argentina this morning as its been announced that River Plate have agreed a $60 million contract extension with Adidas.
The new kit deal with the German brand sees River Plate bag $60 million over six years, not only the biggest kit deal in Argentinian football history but they also top the $8 million a year deal arch rivals Boca Juniors have with Nike.
Luis Landoni the President of Marketing at CARP went on to say, “The contract we had with Adidas was until 2018 and it has been extended until 2021 for 60 million dollars,” River’s marketing president Luis Landoni told Reuters on November 20. “The contract was increased by 70 percent and approved at a board meeting and ratified by a (club) members assembly.”
