Football kit news from the Championship as the new Reading FC 2022-23 Macron home kit has been released.

The 2022-23 Reading FC home shirt is made up of blue and white hoops whilst the collar and cuffs are blue.

The colourful stripe design on the sleeves was first created by University of Reading’s Professor Ed Hawkins in 2018.

Each stripe represents the average temperature for a single year, relative to the average temperature over the period as a whole; shades of blue indicate cooler-than-average years, while red shows years that were hotter than average. The stripes on the home shirt specifically track climate change in Reading across the full 151-year existence of the club.

A white Macron logo is placed on the right breast with the Reading FC badge on the left breast.

In the centre of the front is the Select Car Leasing shirt sponsor.
White shorts with blue socks complete the Reading home kit 2022-23.
