Newport County Carl Zeiss Jena 40th Anniversary Shirt 2020-21

Football kit news from Sky Bet League Two as a special Newport County Carl Zeiss Jena 40th anniversary shirt 2020-21 has been officially unveiled.

The special commemorative Newport County shirt marks the 40th anniversary since the club reached the European Cup Winners Cup quarter final against Carl Zeiss Jena.

Len Ashurst’s side reached the last eight of the competition back in March 1981.

The special Newport County shirt is white with alternate blue and amber gradient hoops running though the jersey.

The Hummel chevrons on the top of the right shoulder are coloured amber whilst the chevrons on the left shoulder are coloured blue.

On the right breast is the Hummel logo with the Newport County badge on the left breast.

Under the badge is black embroidery which reads ‘Newport County Vs Carl Zeiss Jena Celebrating 40 Years 1981 – 2021’.

Five pounds from each shirt sale will be donated to former defender Mark O’Brien who was forced to retire from playing football in June 2020.
