Middlesbrough FC Extend Ramsden’s Deal

News from the English Championship this lunchtime as Middlesbrough FC have announced they have extended the existing contract with Ramsdens Currency.

The two year extension will mean the Ramsdens Currency name will have appeared on the Middlesbrough football shirts for at least a decade. Interesting though the Ramsdens name will appear on the back of the 2018-19 Middlesbrough shirts meaning the club will have a new from of shirt sponsor for the upcoming season.

Ramsdens CEO Peter Kenyon said,

Ramsdens are very proud to have been sponsors of our hometown football club since 2010,” he said. “We are very aware that the Ramsdens name appearing on the shirt has been great for customer recognition and has helped our business grow over recent years.

“We are staying involved by being the back of shirt sponsor next season and look forward to continuing our work with the club in supporting the local community.  Unfortunately the Boro did not make it to the Premier League this year but hopefully it will next season.”

At the beginning of April the club announced that they had agreed a five year deal with Danish brand Hummel to be the clubs new kit supplier, replacing German brand Adidas.
