Football kit news from League One this Sunday as Doncaster Rovers have agreed a kit deal with FBT and have opened a vote for the 2016-17 kits which were designed by the clubs supporters.
Doncaster Rovers agreed a three year deal with Thai based kit supplier FBT that will see them provide the clubs playing kits and training wear as well as expanding the clubshop and they’re even trying to sort out a pre season tour of Thailand.
It’s FBT’s first European contract having already become well established in Asia and they provide the Oman National teams playing kits.
Supporters have designed five home kits and five away kits with the winner of both the home and away shirts being flown to Thailand to push the start button on the manufacturing process and be given the first shirt off the production line.
Sir Rodney Walker is chair of FBT Europe and is confident supporters will be pleased with the quality of the kits.
“All I can say is that everyone at Doncaster who has seen it say they are the best that they have ever seen,” he said.
“Everyone connected with the Football League Trust say it’s the best quality they have seen.
“The people we deal with in Oman would not allow us to have the contract if they had not been happy.
“I’m happy for the fans to be the judge of the quality. And they will no doubt tell us very quickly if they are not happy.
“I’m not expecting that.”
Voting closes 5pm on Saturday 13th February.
