The 10 year partnership with Mick George Group will end after the conclusion of the current 2022-23 season with the club now actively looking for a new shirt sponsor for the 2023-24 season.

Head of Commercial at Cambridge United, Neil Rowe said, “On behalf of everyone at Cambridge United Football Club, I would like to thank Mick George for a decade of sponsorship and support, that has helped all areas and functions of the Club. Cambridge United’s development over the past 10 years has been exceptionally progressive and Mick George have played a huge part in this growth.”

“I want to personally thank Mick George, Jon Stump and the whole team in Huntingdon for their commitment to Cambridge United throughout the sponsorship term. I look forward to continuing a long-standing relationship going forward.”

Mick George Joint CEO, Jon Stump said, “We have built a genuine and valued affinity with both the Club and supporters since we became the front of shirt sponsor in 2013, when the club was still playing in the National League, and consider that we are seen as much a partner and fellow fan as opposed to just a corporate sponsor.

“Through our association, which dates back well before the shirt sponsorship commenced, we have regularly invested in the Club in different capacities.

“We are proud to have been the Club’s front-of-shirt sponsor for the last 10 years, and whilst we will no longer feature on the shirt from the start of the 2023/24 season, we will remain as a key sponsor and supporter of the Club, together with the Community Trust.

“We feel that now is the right time for both the Mick George Group and Cambridge United Football Club to freshen up our partnership, providing a great opportunity for the Club to work with new partners, whilst we continue to build on the last 10 years with some new and exciting initiatives.”
