Aston Villa Secures Historic Visit Rwanda Sponsorship Deal

Aston Villa has officially announced Visit Rwanda as the club’s new front-of-shirt sponsor, marking what has been described as the most important sponsorship deal in the football club’s history. Starting from the 2026/27 season, the Visit Rwanda brand will be prominently displayed on the shirts of the men’s, women’s, and academy teams. In addition to being the Principal Partner, Visit Rwanda will also serve as the club’s Official Tourism Partner and Official Coffee Provider. As highlighted in the official announcement photo, image.png, the new claret and blue shirts proudly feature the sponsor’s logo across the chest.

Financial Impact and Premier League Changes

The agreement is reportedly worth up to £20 million per year, making it the most lucrative commercial partnership Aston Villa has ever secured. This major financial boost arrives just as Unai Emery’s squad prepares to return to the prestigious UEFA Champions League. Visit Rwanda replaces the betting brand Betano. This timely change aligns perfectly with the Premier League’s upcoming voluntary ban on front-of-shirt gambling sponsorships, which officially takes effect in the 2026/27 season.

Expanding Global Reach

The tourism board is no stranger to elite European football; Visit Rwanda already boasts an impressive sporting portfolio that includes partnerships with Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, and a previous long-term sleeve sponsorship with Arsenal. By joining forces, Aston Villa and Visit Rwanda aim to expand their reach into international markets and deliver meaningful activations focused on tourism, investment, and sporting development.
