APOEL FC 2026-27 Macron Home Kit Celebrates Club’s Centenary

APOEL FC and Macron have unveiled the new 2026-27 home kit, with the Cypriot club looking to its past for a special design celebrating 100 years of APOEL.

Founded in 1926, APOEL reach their centenary during the 2026-27 season, and Macron have marked the milestone by recreating one of the club’s most recognisable historic looks. The new shirt takes direct inspiration from the 1973-74 APOEL kit, bringing the classic yellow and blue stripes back to the pitch more than half a century later.

Classic Yellow and Blue Stripes Return

The APOEL 2026-27 home shirt features traditional vertical stripes in the club’s famous yellow and royal blue colours.

Macron have kept the overall design deliberately retro, with a knitted crew-neck collar combining yellow and blue alongside matching detailing around the sleeve cuffs. The result is a shirt that feels noticeably different from many modern kit designs and fits perfectly with the centenary theme.

The white Macron Hero logo appears on the right of the chest, while the APOEL crest sits opposite complete with the club’s two gold stars.

Across the centre of the shirt is the Stoiximan sponsor, while a special 100-year commemorative badge has been positioned centrally on the chest.

The inspiration behind the new home kit gives the design additional significance.

APOEL wore the original striped shirt during the 1973-74 season, an important period in the club’s history when the Nicosia side competed in the Greek First Division.

Rather than simply creating a retro-looking football shirt for the anniversary, Macron have therefore recreated a design connected to a genuine chapter in APOEL history.

The accompanying launch photography strengthens that connection further, bringing different generations together while showcasing both the original-style striped shirt and the modern 2026-27 interpretation.

Special 100th Anniversary Details

Several smaller touches have been incorporated into the shirt to commemorate APOEL’s centenary.

Alongside the special badge on the front, the jersey includes a gold 1926-2026 centenary detail, while “ΑΠΟΕΛ” is embroidered at the back of the neck.
