Today’s football kit news see’s us leak the new Nike England home shirt for this Summer’s World Cup in Brazil.
Nike took over from previous England kit manufacturer Umbro last year, and its fair to say a Nike’s first attempt at the Three Lions kits did not go down too well with supporters.
The new England home jersey is very simplistic with its white base colour and ‘V’ neck collar, although a Nike Shoosh appears on the right breast and the Three Lions badge appears on the left breast with one white star above it to signify the one and only World Cup win in 1966.
You will also notice that the blue (Sport Royal) used for the Nike Swoosh and the lions on the crest is alot lighter than that that was used on the previous England home kit.
England are expected to wear white shorts and socks with their home jersey during the tournament but will revert back to the more traditional blue shorts and white socks after World Cup 2014.
