Udinese Modify Home Shirt With White Tape

Unusual football kit news from Italy’s Serie A as yesterday Udinese were forced to modify their home shirt with white tape to avoid a kit clash with Atalanta.

The league had signed off both Atalanta and Udinese’s home kits as suitable for the fixture but match referee Fabio Maresca deemed both jerseys featured too much black on show which led to the club taking the unusual step of covering the majority of the black on the jersey with white tape.

The kick off was delayed while the Udinese shirts were modified. Despite the problems with the jerseys Udinese ran out 1-3 winners.
