Colombian Primera Division A side Independiente Santa Fe’s kitman brought the wrong kit then come back at half time with 10 fake Santa Fe shirts!
Santa Fe travelled 90+ miles for their Colombian Primera Division A match against Boyaca Chico only to realise on arrival that the kitman had brought the red home kit instead of the clubs white away kit. Santa Fe asked opponents Boyaca Chico if they would mind wearing their away kit but to avoid the clash of colours but Chico refused to play ball.
The quick thinking Santa Fe kitman sent out the players in their dark grey training tops with the players squad numbers stuck on the back with white surgical tape. Sounds comical but they actually went in at half time 0-1 up although the temporary numbers were peeling off.
Little did the Santa Fe players know that their kitman had gone on a shopping spree at local market in Tunja during the first half where he managed to buy 10 fake replica Santa Fe away shirts (for 12,000 pesos, about £4) and a red felt tip pen!
Numbers were then drawn on the back of the counterfeit shirts and the players were sent back out for the second half, where they added a second goal and won the match 2-0!
