News from Spain this morning as the special Real Madrid Parley kit made by Adidas debuted last night during the 2-1 win over Sporting Gijon in which Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice.
This special Adidas Real Madrid kit is unique in that is manufactured out of plastic marine waste found in the Indian Ocean as part of the “Parley for the Ocean’s” campaign.
Amazingly each Real Madrid Parley shirt was made out of the equivalent of 28 plastic bottles, whilst the equivalent of 308 bottles were used to kit out the starting 11.
The 2016/17 Real Madrid Parley shirt has a white base colour whilst the Adidas details, club crest and Fly Emirates shirt sponsor are printed on the jersey using a light grey water based paint.
Inside the neckline is a “Parley for the Ocean’s” tape.
As if by fate the heavens opened during the match which saw the kit made from the ocean get drenched, leaving all the details on the jersey invisible.
