News from the Championship as the new Reading FC 150th anniversary home kit 2021-22 made by Macron was officially unveiled this morning.
The 2021-22 Reading 150th anniversary home kit is inspired by the first ever kit worn by the club and sees a jersey made up of thin blue and white hoops, complimented with white shorts and hooped socks.
Thin gold trim circles the collar and cuffs whilst the Macron logo on the right breast and the Reading FC crest on the left breast are coloured gold.
Some of the names of former players who were inducted into the Supporters Trust’s Hall of Fame have been sublimated into the blue stripes.
On the back of the neck is gold ‘1871-2021, 150 YEARS’ text.
The Reading FC goalkeeper jersey 2021-22 is inspired by that worn by Steve Death, a regular in the Reading goal for the entire 1970’s, once breaking the club record of making 156 consecutive appearances.
Death also managed to not concede a goal for 1074 minutes during the 1978-79 season, breaking another club record.
