2015-16 Manchester United adidas Home Shirt Martial #9 – Large Boys

Original Manchester United home shirt from the 2015-16 season, manufactured by adidas and featuring Anthony Martial #9 on the reverse.

This was a significant Manchester United shirt as it marked the return of adidas as the club’s kit manufacturer for the first time since the early 1990s. The classic red design features white adidas shoulder stripes, a white V-neck collar with black and red detailing, the embroidered Manchester United crest and adidas logo, and Chevrolet sponsor across the front.

The reverse features Martial #9 in Premier League-style lettering and numbering. Anthony Martial arrived at Manchester United from AS Monaco in September 2015 and was given the number 9 shirt for his debut season. He made an immediate impact, famously scoring against Liverpool on his Manchester United debut at Old Trafford.

Martial went on to finish his first season at United as the club’s leading scorer in all competitions and also scored the dramatic late winner against Everton in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley. Manchester United subsequently lifted the 2015-16 FA Cup after defeating Crystal Palace in the final.

A superb example of an increasingly collectible Manchester United shirt, particularly with the Martial #9 print from his memorable debut season.
