2005-07 Wisbech Town Prostar #9 Player Shirt – XL Men’s

2005-07 Wisbech Town Prostar #9 Player Shirt

Rare original Wisbech Town FC player shirt from the mid-2000s, manufactured by Prostar and featuring the distinctive McDonald’s Guyhirn sponsor across the front.

The long-sleeved shirt features a predominantly white design with navy detailing, including a traditional fold-over collar, striped cuffs and distinctive star-patterned panels across the shoulders and down the sides.

Prostar branding and the Wisbech Town FC name are embroidered to the chest, while the reverse carries a large professionally applied red number 9 incorporating a star motif.

The specification of the shirt, including the long sleeves, applied squad number and local sponsor branding, strongly indicates that this was produced as part of Wisbech Town’s playing kit rather than as a standard supporter replica. There are also visible signs of football use, including staining to the backs of the sleeves. The shirt may therefore have been match worn, although no provenance accompanies it and it is being sold without a confirmed match-worn or individual player attribution.

The shirt dates from Wisbech Town’s mid-2000s Eastern Counties League era. The 2005-06 campaign saw the Fenmen finish fourth in the Premier Division during Dick Creasy’s first season in charge, before the club reached the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup during the following campaign.

A particularly unusual surviving piece of Wisbech Town memorabilia and a fantastic example of English non-league playing kit, made even more distinctive by the McDonald’s Guyhirn sponsorship and applied number 9.
