Original 1983 FA Cup Final programme from the match between Brighton & Hove Albion and Manchester United at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 21st May 1983.
One of the most memorable FA Cup Finals of the 1980s, the match finished 2-2 after extra time. Brighton took the lead through Gordon Smith before Frank Stapleton equalised for Manchester United. Ray Wilkins then put United ahead, only for Gary Stevens to level the match late in normal time.
Brighton came agonisingly close to winning the FA Cup in extra time when Gordon Smith was presented with a late opportunity, but Manchester United goalkeeper Gary Bailey made the crucial save.
With the scores still level, the teams returned to Wembley five days later for a replay, where Manchester United won 4-0 to lift the FA Cup.
This original Wembley Stadium programme features Brighton & Hove Albion and Manchester United on the front cover alongside the FA Cup trophy and the original 60p cover price.
