1982 FA Cup Final Replay Programme – QPR v Tottenham Hotspur
Original official matchday programme from the 1982 FA Cup Final Replay between Queens Park Rangers and Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley Stadium on Thursday 27 May 1982.
The first final had taken place five days earlier and finished 1-1 after extra time, forcing the FA Cup Final to a replay. Tottenham returned to Wembley looking to retain the trophy they had won against Manchester City the previous season, while Second Division QPR were attempting to lift the FA Cup for the first time in their history.
The replay was decided by Glenn Hoddle, whose early penalty gave Tottenham a 1-0 victory and secured the club’s second successive FA Cup and seventh overall at the time.
The 1981-82 campaign was an extraordinary one for Spurs. Keith Burkinshaw’s side played 66 matches, finished fourth in the First Division, reached the League Cup Final and the semi-finals of the European Cup Winners’ Cup before ending the season by successfully defending the FA Cup.
A highly collectible original Wembley programme from one of Tottenham Hotspur’s major cup triumphs and an important piece of 1980s FA Cup history.
