1962-63 Tottenham Hotspur v Burnley FA Cup Programme
Original official matchday programme from Tottenham Hotspur v Burnley in the Third Round of the 1962-63 FA Cup.
The programme is dated 5 January 1963, although the match was postponed during the exceptionally severe winter and was eventually played at White Hart Lane on 16 January 1963. The programme produced for the original date was used for the rearranged fixture.
The tie was particularly significant as Tottenham were the reigning FA Cup holders and had beaten Burnley 3-1 in the 1962 FA Cup Final at Wembley just eight months earlier.
Burnley gained their revenge at White Hart Lane with a memorable 3-0 victory, eliminating a Tottenham side that had been attempting to win the FA Cup for a third consecutive season.
A fascinating original programme from one of the most successful periods in Tottenham Hotspur history and an excellent piece of early-1960s FA Cup memorabilia.
