1959-60 Tottenham Hotspur v Newcastle United Programme
Original official matchday programme from Tottenham Hotspur v Newcastle United, played at White Hart Lane on 19 December 1959 in the Football League First Division.
Tottenham produced an impressive 4-0 victory, with goals from Danny Blanchflower, Maurice Norman, John White and Cliff Jones.
The result was particularly significant as it took Bill Nicholson’s developing Tottenham side to the top of the First Division table.
The programme comes from the season immediately before Tottenham’s historic 1960-61 League and FA Cup Double and features several members of the side that would become one of the most celebrated teams in the club’s history.
Priced at twopence when originally issued, this is an attractive original late-1950s Tottenham programme and an excellent piece of White Hart Lane memorabilia.
