PlayerLayer Forest Green Rovers 2019-21 Kits

Football kit news from Sky Bet League Two as the new PlayerLayer Forest Green Rovers 2019-21 kits have been officially unveiled.

Forest Green Rovers are recognised by FIFA and UEFA as the World’s greenest football club, and they have gone one step further with the 2019-21 kits.

The new FGR kits are made out 50% bamboo mix which significantly reduces the amount of plastic used.

The 2019-21 Forest Green Rovers home shirt is bright green with a black zebra pattern on the front whilst the back has a tonal green zebra pattern.

A PlayerLayer logo is placed on the right breast whilst the FGR badge is placed on the left breast.

Ecotricity have their name in the centre of the football shirt coloured black.

The 2019-21 Forest Green Rovers away shirt has a black base colour with tonal zebra pattern.

Both the collar and the PlayerLayer logo are coloured light green as is the ecotricity shirt sponsor.

On the back on the neck is ‘FGR’ lettering with two greyed out stars which will be coloured in when/if the club reach the Championship.

Dale Vince the Forest Green Rovers chairman said, “We’ve taken inspiration from nature with our new kit – from the zebra stripes to the sustainable materials. I was pretty shocked when I found out that modern sportswear is actually made from plastic – that feels wrong to me, not just from the sustainability point of view, but for performance too.

“Together with PlayerLayer, we’re making strides towards a new approach for football kit – this year’s 50% Bamboo is a stake in the ground (no pun intended), we plan to move beyond that.  The aim is 100% sustainable high-performance material.”
