Yesterday over 800 football shirts with ‘Sinnott 25’ on the back were on display at the funeral of former footballer Jordan Sinnott after football clubs Worldwide donated shirts in tribute to Jordan who was tragically killed on a night out.
A total of 862 football shirts with Sinnott’s name and number 25 were on display to celebrate Jordan’s life at Bradford City’s Valley Parade as football clubs Worldwide donated shirts in a stunning tribute to the Bradford born footballer who’s previous clubs included Huddersfield Town, Altrincham, Chesterfield, Halifax Town and Matlock Town where he was on loan.
It was Jordan’s older brother, Tom who started the appeal for clubs to donate shirts via a Twitter account he set up named Shirts For Jordan (@JordanShirts) which now has over 13,500 followers!
Signed shirts will be auctioned off whilst other shirts will be given to underprivileged children as part of Sports Relief.
Hundreds of friends and families paid their respects on the day in a heartwarming send off.
