OGC Nice Unveil Special Kappa Third Kit for 2026-27

OGC Nice and Kappa have officially unveiled the club’s new 2026-27 third kit, with the striking gold shirt designed as a moving tribute to the victims of the 14 July 2016 attack in Nice.

Released during the season marking ten years since the tragedy on the Promenade des Anglais, the new OGC Nice third shirt has been created entirely around remembrance, with several meaningful details incorporated into the design.

Gold OGC Nice Third Shirt Features 86 Stars

The OGC Nice 2026-27 third shirt moves away from the club’s traditional red and black colours in favour of a rich gold base, complemented by black detailing across the collar, sleeves and side panels.

The choice of gold carries particular significance. It takes inspiration from the 86 beams of light that rise above the Promenade des Anglais during commemorations, as well as the thousands of lights that illuminate the Allianz Riviera during the 86th minute of OGC Nice home matches.

Across the front of the shirt are 86 stars, representing the 86 people who lost their lives in the attack.

Rather than simply being placed across the jersey as a pattern, the stars have been arranged to recreate the distinctive curve of the Baie des Anges, connecting the tribute directly with the city of Nice.

Special Memorial Details

Further commemorative details appear throughout the new Kappa shirt.

The memorial heart formed from the names of the 86 victims is incorporated into the jersey, a symbol that will feature across OGC Nice’s kits throughout the 2026-27 season.

On the back of the third shirt, positioned beneath the collar, is the date 14 Juillet 2016.

Kappa branding, the OGC Nice crest and shirt sponsor are presented in dark monochrome finishes against the gold background, allowing the symbolic elements of the design to remain the focus.

The shirt itself uses Kappa’s Kombat construction, combining the commemorative design with the Italian manufacturer’s modern performance technology.

OGC Nice to Wear New Third Kit Against Le Mans

OGC Nice will wear the 2026-27 third kit for the first time when they face Le Mans at the Allianz Riviera on Saturday 5 September.

The fixture will include a special ceremony commemorating the victims, with families, those injured in the attack, first responders and others directly affected invited to be part of the occasion.

Following the match, shirts worn by OGC Nice players will also be auctioned online, with proceeds going to victims’ associations.

Throughout the remainder of the 2026-27 campaign, the club will continue its programme of remembrance, ensuring the memorial heart remains present across its shirts and captain’s armbands.
