The new Manchester City Nike away kit for 2013/14 has been officially revealed by the Premier League club this morning.
It is Man City’s first ever Nike away kit after they replaced 2012/13 kit manufacturers Umbro.
Manchester City were created as St Mark’s in 1880, before becoming Gorton AFC in 1884, and then Ardwick AFC between 1887 and 1894. The 2013/14 away shirt is made up of a half and half design which was inspired by Ardwick AFC during the 1890-91 season. One half of the shirt is coloured charcoal whilst the other half is black, this was inspired by Gorton AFC who played in a black shirt.
The Nike Swoosh on the right breast, MCFC badge on the left breast and official shirt sponsor Etihad Airways all appear on the jersey coloured gold to represent the clubs recent success.
The new Manchester City away kit is completed with black shorts and black socks with charcoal trim.
Our Opinion: Love this kit, looks stylish with the dark colours and gold details.
