Earlier this week the Newcastle Utd 2015/16 home kit was officially revealed…….featuring the old Wonga.com logo!
Just hours before Newcastle Utd revealed their new home strip for 2015/16, shirt sponsor controversial money lender Wonga.com revealed their new logo meaning there was no time for the logo to be added to the new Newcastle home shirts.
A Wonga spokesman said “It was due to the production schedule.”
The Magpies will wear the new home kit 15/16 featuring the old Wonga logo during tomorrow’s final match of the season against West Ham knowing they need to match or better Hull City’s result against Manchester Utd to avoid relegation to the Championship.
It’s unclear whether the away and third shirts will feature the new or old Wonga logo but we’ll update you as soon as we find out.
The outdated logo doesn’t bother me. Neither does the added blue to the black stripes. It’s the fact that once again Puma have forgotten to put stripes on the back of the shirt. Looks ridiculous.
