During today’s Manchester Derby the Manchester City players took to the Old Trafford pitch with ‘Same City Same Passion’ embroidered into their shirts as the club celebrates International Women’s Day 2020.

The embroidery appeared on the 2019-20 Manchester City 125th anniversary home shirt made by Puma. As with the Puma logo and the Etihad Airways shirt sponsor the embroidery in the centre of the chest was coloured purple.

The club wide ‘Same City Same Passion’ campaign is committed to promoting women’s football by demonstrating that the same skills, passion and excitement exists in the women’s game as in the men’s.
