Yesterday Leicester City announced that they will wear two different football shirts for this weekend’s home fixture against Burnley.
This will be the first home fixture at the King Power stadium since the Leicester City Chairman, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha and four other people tragically lost their lives in a helicopter accident outside the stadium on 27th October 2018.
The five people involved in the accident will be remembered prior to kick off and at 2:45pm a special ‘Tribute to Khun Vichai’ video will be shown on the big screen.
Supporters will also receive gifts such as commemorative scarfs, pin badges, clap banners and souvenir matchday programmes to honour the Foxes late Chairman.
The Leicester City players will wear tribute t-shirts prior to kickoff whilst Khun Vichai’s name will be embroidered on the playing shirts for the first half.
During the second half the Leicester City players will take to the pitch wearing football shirts that feature an embroidered poppy as the match has been selected as the clubs annual Remembrance fixture, a tradition the club started back in 2003.
