Italian Serie A club Lazio have today revealed a limited edition 2013/14 home shirt which is dedicated to former player Silvio Piola.
This limited edition Lazio home shirt marks the centenary of the birth of Silvio Piola who played for Lazio between 1934 -1943 scoring 143 goals and still remains the highest goalscorer in Serie A history with 290 goals. Silvio also won the 1938 World Cup with Italy scoring a brace in the final.
The Lazio Silvio Piola tribute shirt has a base colour of light blue and features a white round neck collar and white trim on the end of the sleeves. The Macron logo on the right collarbone and the S.S. Lazio badge on the left breast are embroided in a slightly darker shade of light blue than the base colour of the jersey.
Embroided on the left sleeve in white is the signature of Piola and ‘290’ to mark the amount of goals scored during his Serie A career. A picture of the Lazio Legend is placed inside the collar and his famous number 9 is woven on the back of the jersey.
This shirt has been limited to 913 units and a small badge in the bottom left hand corner shows which number shirt you have. Something else that makes this a unique jersey is that it has only been produced in a size Large, the size Piola wore.
The shirt comes in a special presentation box and will cost 119€.
The 2013-14 Lazio Silvio Piola shirt will be worn against AC Fiorentina in the Serie A match on October 6th.
Our Opinion: WOW! I want, no I NEED one of these!
