Italy Pay Tribute To Davide Astori

Italy will wear their new Puma 2018 away shirt this evening against Argentina with an embossed tribute to former International Davide Astori who tragically died earlier this month.

The Fiorentina captain made 14 appearances for the Azzurri died aged just 31 following a suspected cardiac arrest.

Under the Italy badge is gold ‘Davide Sempre Con Noi’ lettering which translates as ‘Davide, Always With Us’.

The Italian national team have also chosen not to assign anyone the number 13 jersey, Astori’s shirt number.

You will also notice the blue ‘120’ and the ‘Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio 1898-2018’ lettering between the Puma logo and the Italy badge as the FIGC celebrate their 120th Anniversary.

Italy face Argentina this evening in an International friendly at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium.
