International football kit news this morning as the Icelandic Football Association have announced Puma as the new kit supplier in a six year deal.
The new deal starts officially on 1st July 2020 with the new kits to be unveiled in the middle of the month.
The German brand replace Errea who have manufactured the Iceland kits since 2001.
Guðni Bergsson the KSÍ chairman said, “I want to start by taking this opportunity and thank Errea for a long and successful partnership, KSÍ and Errea have experienced many things over the years. Now we have a new chapter in the costume story and we will take the next step on our road trip with PUMA. We are very excited about our partnership with PUMA, which is without doubt one of the leading sports brands in the world today, and we are very much looking forward to seeing Iceland’s first PUMA costume announced in mid-July. We must not forget that we are going to introduce our new national team logo at the end of June, so that the new PUMA attire will have the new national team logo.”
Björn Gulden the CEO of Puma said, “The Icelandic national teams have achieved remarkable results in football in recent years. Despite being a small nation, Icelanders have shown that it is possible to go far with talents, the right attitude and no less an individual team.
