Hummel Afghanistan 2016 Women’s Kits Feature Hijab

To coincide with it being International Women’s Day, today saw the new Hummel Afganistan 2016 Women’s kits revealed and they feature an integrated hijab.

  

The hijab which forms part of the baselayer of the football shirt will allow the Afgan women to play covered up from head to toe if they wish inline with their religious beliefs.

  
Former Afghanistan women’s captain, Khalida Popal who currently lives in Denmark worked with Danish brand Hummel to design the new Afganistan 2016 kits which features the Afgan lions on both the front and back of the jersey.

  
A black pattern runs around both the hem and the cuffs.

  
The Afghanistan 2016 away jersey has the same design as the home although it is predominantly white as opposed to red.

  
Black Hummel chevrons run across the top of the shoulders on both jerseys whilst the whe front half of the ‘V’ neck collar is black and the back half is green.
