FC Nantes and Macron have unveiled a striking new pink special-edition kit for the 2026-27 season, created in support of the annual Octobre Rose campaign and the fight against breast cancer.

The new release represents a first for Les Canaris, with FC Nantes wearing pink for the first time in the club’s history. Both the men’s and women’s first teams will wear the special Macron strip in competitive matches at the Stade de la Beaujoire during October.
FC Nantes Wear Pink for the First Time
Moving completely away from Nantes’ traditional yellow and green, the FC Nantes 2026-27 Octobre Rose shirt uses a soft pastel pink base complemented by deep burgundy detailing.

The burgundy appears around the distinctive V-neck collar and sleeve cuffs, while the Macron logo, FC Nantes crest and men’s first-team Synergie sponsor are also presented in the darker colour.
However, the most important element of the design is incorporated directly into the fabric.

The famous pink ribbon associated with breast cancer awareness has been deconstructed and repeated throughout the shirt in different shades of pink, producing an abstract tonal pattern across the jersey.
A more traditional pink ribbon is positioned centrally on the chest between the Macron logo and FC Nantes badge.
Eight Ribbons Replace Nantes’ Championship Stars
Macron has also incorporated an excellent piece of FC Nantes history into the back of the shirt.

Nantes traditionally reference the club’s eight French league championship titles with eight stars. On the new Octobre Rose jersey, those stars have been replaced by eight embroidered awareness ribbons positioned beneath the back of the collar.
It is a small detail but one that connects the identity of FC Nantes directly with the cause behind the special shirt.
The back-neck panel also features the distinctive HELLFEST branding, continuing Nantes’ association with the famous music festival.
Burgundy Shorts Complete the 2026-27 Kit
The pastel pink shirt is combined with burgundy shorts, creating a strong contrast with the lighter jersey.

Pink socks complete the strip and feature a broad burgundy turnover at the top, tying the three elements of the kit together.
Macron has produced versions of the shirt for both the FC Nantes men’s and women’s teams, with their respective commercial partners appearing on each version.
FC Nantes Men’s and Women’s Teams to Wear the Shirt
The special kit will not simply be a retail release.
FC Nantes’ women’s team will be the first to wear the Octobre Rose strip when they face Montpellier at the Stade de la Beaujoire on 3 October 2026.
The men’s first team will then wear the pink kit against Reims on 10 October and Dunkerque on 17 October.
That means supporters will get several opportunities to see the unusual pink and burgundy design worn competitively during October.
Shirt Sales Will Support Breast Cancer Organisations
The release also has a significant charitable element.
FC Nantes has confirmed that 50% of the profits generated from sales of the shirt will be donated to Nantes-based organisations Madame S and Ma Parenthèse, which support people affected by breast cancer, as well as the FC Nantes endowment fund and its Football Cœur de Nantes programme.
The initiative forms part of the club’s wider commitment to using football to increase awareness of breast cancer and support organisations working within the local community.
A Very Different FC Nantes Shirt
Special-edition football shirts have become increasingly common, but the FC Nantes 2026-27 Macron Octobre Rose kit manages to make its cause an integral part of the design rather than simply adding an awareness ribbon to an existing jersey.
From the tonal ribbon graphics running through the material to the eight embroidered ribbons representing Nantes’ championship titles, the theme has been incorporated throughout the shirt.
And with FC Nantes wearing pink for the first time in their history, the 2026-27 Octobre Rose shirt is certainly one of the club’s most distinctive Macron releases to date.
