To coincide with the charity’s silver anniversary ,the club’s shirt sponsor Chang, has kindly donated the space on the front of the shirt for the match. So instead of the brewer’s name, the Blues will wear shirts carrying a specia,l ‘Everton in the Community 25 Years’ logo.
Established on 1 February 1988, Everton in the Community has gone on to win a collection of awards for its work in supporting vulnerable and underprivileged people on Merseyside. To mark the anniversary the charity has invitied the club’s fans to help to raise £1million by asking 40,000 supporters, the capacity of the clubs home Goodison Park, to each raise £25.
Ahead of kick-off, ‘Everton in the Community’ will be hosting a celebration of events to thank fans for their continued support which has enabled the charity to grow and become a vital part of the local community.
The fun starts from 1pm at the Everton Fan Zone in the Park End car park and will feature music, games, giveaways, face painting plus appearances from special guests to wish the charity a very happy birthday.
