Doncaster Rovers 2018-19 Mental Health Awareness Third Kit

News from Sky Bet League One as a special Doncaster Rovers 2018-19 Mental Health Third kit has been officially revealed by the club.

The football club and NHS Doncaster CCG worked together to create a unique competition in which children and young adults were given the opportunity to design the new Doncaster Rovers third kit made by FBT.

As part of the design pack there were a number of mental health messages provided by NHS Doncaster CCG.

It is reported by Young Minds mental health charity that approximately three children in each classroom have mental health issues, with only one in the three being diagnosed and able to get access to NHS treatment.

Over 300 children entered the competition which saw local school boy Nate Nisar produce the winning design after it was chosen by Doncaster players Andy Butler, James Coppinger, John Marquis, Matty Blair and Tommy Rowe. On his winning design Nate said, “I went with the triangles because I wanted to choose a retro design, with the colours representing emotions.

“People with mental health issues can be feeling lots of different emotions, represented by the variety of different colours.”
