Earlier today Spanish newspaper ‘Sport’, leaked the new Nike Barcelona 2015/16 home and away kits which will see Barca’s familiar vertical stripes replaced by hoops for the first time in their 115 year history. Apparently the controversial new design has already been approved by the club president, Josep Maria Bartomeu after Nike put forward the designs at a secret meeting at the Camp Nou on Monday.

The 2015/16 Barcelona home jersey has a blue base colour with four red horizontal hoops running across the front and back. Under the armpit the sides of the jersey are yellow.

The inside of the neckline has the colours of the Catalan flag yellow and red. A white Nike Swoosh is placed on the right breast with official shirt sponsor ‘Qatar Airways’ appearing in the middle of the shirt also coloured white. FCB’s badge is placed on the left breast.

Red shorts will compliment the new top but we are unsure on the colour of the new socks.

Barcelona’s new 15/16 away shirt is inspired by the Catalan flag the ‘Senyera’ and has a yellow base colour with four red vertical stripes running down the back.

The Catalan flag again is placed inside the back of the neck. The front of the jersey is plain yellow with a white Nike Swoosh on the right breast and shirt sponsor ‘Qatar Airways’, in the middle of the jersey this time coloured blue.
