Retro kit news as classic Accington Stanley nineties football shirts made by Crown Sports have been found by members of the Supporters Club!
The Official Accrington Stanley Supporters Club (OASSC) members recently unearthed new unsold classic kits that were worn by the clubs players back during the 1998/99 season and have been in storage for the past 18 years!
Nick Westwell the chairman of the OASCC said, “We’ve been really lucky to unearth this stash of historic club gear. We have 80 shirts and 20 jackets in various sizes and I’m sure there’ll be a lot of demand from supporters keen to get their hands on them.”
The Accrington home shirt 1998/99 made by Crown Sports were red with white sides. Red Crown Sports logos ran across the top of the shoulders and sleeves and also ran diagonally down from the sleeves down to the bottom of the jersey. Asda were the clubs official shirt sponsors and had their logo in the middle of the football shirt.
The classic football shirts will be for sale on the OASCC stall at the Accrington Food and Drink Festival on June 6th, and will be sold on a first come first serve basis.
Accrington Stanley currently play in Skybet League Two.
