Chelsea Announce Yokohama Rubber As New Shirt Sponsor From 2015/16

Chelsea football club have just announced The Yokohama Rubber Company Ltd as their new official  shirt sponsor starting from 2015/16.

It was widely reported that the West London club who play Tottenham in the Carling Cup Final this Sunday would agree a deal with Turkish Airlines but they have now agreed a deal with Yokohama Rubber in one of the biggest shirt sponsorship deals in history!

A five year deal was agreed with the tyre manufacturer which will see the Yokohama brand on first team and youth team football kits starting from the 2015/16 season.

Chairman of Yokohama, Tadanobu Nagumo flew in from Tokyo today to appear in an official launch photoshoot with Chelsea Chairman Bruce Buck, Manager José Mourinho and Captain John Terry.

Buck went on to say ‘It is an absolute pleasure to welcome Yokohama as our new Official Shirt Partner and we look forward to a successful relationship with them’ .

Chelsea and Yokohama are a perfect fit. Both are global organisations with a focus on performance and innovation, as well as having huge ambition and an unwavering culture of success.
