CD Leganes 2016-17 ‘Scratch ‘N’ Sniff’ Joma Kit Revealed

News from Spain as CD Leganes 2016-17 Scratch ‘N’ Sniff kit made by Joma has been revealed by La Liga’s newest side.

On first glance the new CD Leganes 2016-17 football kits look any other kit, but scratch the club badge and you can smell freshly cut grass! Not only that, lick the crest and you can even taste it!

Daniel Abanda, the clubs Marketing Director told the official La Liga website:

“Joma proposed the idea of having a badge on the new shirts which tasted and smelled of something, as we were playing next season in the Primera Division for the first time.
The idea fitted really well with how we see ourselves. A close-knit club, with a sense of fun, and with a desire to do things differently as we have been doing since we were in the Segunda Division B.

The response from the fans on the first day was spectacular with enormous queues at the stadium shop. We are where we want to be, we want to stay close to our fans and help make them smile.”

CD Leganes nickname is ‘Los Peperioneros’, which translates as the Cucumber Growers so it’s no surprise they unveiled their new 2016-17 kits at a local supermarket in front of, yes cucumbers!
