Cardiff City New Club Crest Revealed

Yesterday Championship side Cardiff City revealed their new club crest to be used from the start of the 2015/16 season onwards.

Controversial owner Vincent Tan changed the clubs home kit colour back in 2012 from blue to red whilst the Bluebirds badge was also changed so a red dragon was prominent instead of the Bluebird.

Earlier this season Tan bowed in to fan pressure and the advice of his mum and authorised the changing of the clubs home kit back from red to blue mid season.

The new Cardiff City crest takes it’s inspiration from the 1927 FA Cup winning teams kit which had a shielded Cardiff coat of arms on the jersey.

The Bluebird is now in a prominent position in the middle of the crest whilst the Welsh dragon is placed at the bottom of the new badge.
