Bristol City Forced To Remove Hashtags From 2016-17 Home Kit

English Championship side Bristol City have been dealt a blow one day ahead of the new season as they have been forced to remove the hashtags from their 2016-17 home kit.

Bristol City revealed their new 2016-17 home kit back in June which saw the jersey feature the hashtags #MakingBristolProud and #BristolCity on the front on each shoulder.

Today it’s been revealed that the football governing body and kit manufacturer Bristol Sport have been in discussions for the past few months regarding the hashtags on the home jersey and they have been told today that the hashtags will have to be removed ahead of their opening Championship fixture at Ashon Gate tomorrow against Wigan Athletic.

The club have announced they will fight the decision and hope to reach a compromise soon.

Bristol City are yet to reveal an away kit for the new season although there are rumours it could be revealed this evening.
