Football kit news from the League of Ireland Premier Division as the new Bohemian FC 2021 away kit made by O’Neills has been officially unveiled this morning.
In collaboration with Focus Ireland and Grammy nominated band Fontaines D.C. Bohemian FC are once again using their away kit to highlight an issue in the country.
The 2020 Bohemian away shirt featured the message “Refugees Welcome” with an image of a family fleeing after the club teamed up with Amnesty International.
The new Bohemian FC away shirt 2021 focuses on the tackling homelessness and will see 15% from all shirt sales donated to Focus Ireland who have been tackling homelessness for 35 years.
The one off jersey is white with claret pinstripes running down the front of the shirt.
Both the collar and cuffs are coloured claret with the latter featuring a white Celtic knotwork pattern.
In a further nod to Dublin and Ireland the shirt features the Poolbeg towers and the Grattan Bridge lamps which were designed by the Three Castles Burning Podcast.
Inside the neckline is white ‘Dublin in the rain is mine’ a lyric used by Fontaines D.C. the Irish band who also have their name in the centre of the football shirt coloured black after main shirt sponsor Des Kelly Interiors gave up their advertising space.
On the left breast is the O’Neills logo whilst a special Bohemian FC badge is placed on the left breast.
The claret coloured pinstripes run down the back of the jersey.
On the top of the back Patrick Pearse’s quote ‘Beware of the Risen People’ from the wall of Kilmainham Gaol appears in black text.
