Breaking football kit news from Serie A in Italy as AS Roma have announced that they have agreed a multi year kit deal with New Balance who replace Nike.
From the start of the 2021-22 season the AS Roma kits will be manufactured by the Boston based brand, their first foray into Italian football.
New Balance General Manager Kenny McCallum said, “We are happy to welcome AS Roma to the New Balance family. This is more than a football club. The Giallorossi have an unrivaled style in this sport, having shown a strong sense of social responsibility and community. We are immensely proud to work with the Club in order to bring our innovative approach to kit design and development of the beautiful world of football.”
Guido Fienga the CEO at AS Roma said, “This agreement represents an important milestone for the Club’s growth ambitions. New Balance is recognized worldwide as a leader in its reference sector and we are confident that this collaboration will give rise to new development opportunities for our brand. We are extremely happy to entrust them with our colors in the creation of the Giallorossi kits and we can’t wait to see the AS Roma athletes wear the new kits.”
