Arsenal and Nike have created a Special Edition football shirt to commemorative their 20 year partnership.
The Gunners who beat Hull City 3-2 at Wembley yesterday to win the 2013/14 FA Cup have a new kit supplier for the 2014/15 season in the shape of German brand Puma.
To celebrate the partnership between Arsenal and Nike that lasted two decades a Limited Edition Arsenal shirt has been made using 20 of the most iconic jerseys used during the twenty year period.
Marc van Pappelendam, VP/GM of Nike UK & Ireland, commented: “Nike has enjoyed a wonderful partnership with Arsenal Football Club. As the Arsenal team became more iconic, their kit designs followed suit. The kits which Nike has produced for the club over the last 20 years tell a story; a timeline of success which will be remembered for a long time to come.”
Kits included in this unique design include the Invincible’s jersey and the Farewell To Highbury blackcurrant shirt.
Limited Edition individually numbered prints of the shirt will be sold with proceeds going to the Arsenal Foundation.
The Arsenal and Nike celebration shirt will be available to see in the Arsenal Football Club Museum from June 30.
