Adidas Scotland 2013/15 Home Kit Officially Unveiled

A few days back we leaked the Scotland 2013/15 home kit, today it has been officially launched and shown off to the media.

The SFA unveiled the new kit in Glasgow after recently announcing that they had renewed their multi-million pound deal with adidas that now runs until 2018.

As your’d expect the new Scotland home shirt is dark blue but it features a tartan pattern on the end of the sleeves and running down the sides of the jersey. The ‘V’ neck collar is dark blue but has thin dark red trim.

The base of the shirt has thin vertical piping that runs down to the bottom of the jersey. A silver adidas logo is placed on the right breast whilst the new revampt Scotland badge is placed on the left breast also coloured silver.

On the back of the shirt is a white spider which is inspired by the famous tale ‘Robert the Bruce and the spider’. Bruce was the iconic 14th century King of Scotland. Below is the story of Bruce and the spider.

‘After beating defeated by King Edward I and forced to flee, Robert the Bruce was taking refuge in a cave when he watched a spider attempt to spin a web.
Time and time again it fell to the floor and kept climbing up to try again. Eventually, the spider’s silk stuck to the cave wall and it began to build it’s web.
Robert was so inspired by what he saw he vowed to return a defeat the English.
He did just that at the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314.’

The new Scotland home kit is completed with dark blue shorts with have the tartan pattern at the bottom of each leg and dark red socks.

Scotland’s new home kit will be available to buy on Thursday and will be worn by the team during their International friendly against USA at Hampden Park on Friday evening.
